2012 - what a year
Firstly I want to apoligise for the lack of interview posts this week and last, it's an odd couple of weeks and although I've got some interviews left for this year, I haven't really had the time or energy to sit down and get them posted - don't worry though, they'll be coming.
So 2012 has almost came to an end and now is a good time to look back and see what you achieved, which is what I'm going to be doing in this post. Let's look back through my year and see what's happened, the things I'm proud of and the things I'm looking forward to in 2013.
Back in March I bought a new car, a Vauxhall Astra. It's a nice car, bigger than what I've had previously (Citroen Saxo, Fiat Punto) but I used to drive my Dads car a lot, so it's nothing really different for me.
In July I did two amazing things, Sky Diving for my 21st Birthday and a wonderful week away with the fiancé in Jamaica.
In August I cycled 150~ miles from Kidsgrove to Rhyl and back again for Cancer Research. This is something I'm really proud of doing and myself and Alan (who cycled with me) intend to do more charitable events next year!
Back in September I became an Uncle to a beautiful girl — a massive congratulations to my sister! I was there for the birth, something that was never planned but was in some weird twisted way, quite frankly magical.
Finally in October I started a new job as Research & Development Manager. I left Blue Bay Travel who I'd been with for almost 2 years. Two amazing years might I add.
And now we're finally in December and I've started learning Ruby on Rails and Objective-C.
It's been a crazy year for me but I'd have done nothing differently!
Myself and Keylee are now saving for our own house, we hope to be looking to buy next year. I've also started a new project (#wholecircle is that hash tag I use on Twitter) which is super-secret at the moment and only in the very, very early stages of planning and development. Perhaps I'll get back round to that one day.
