Cancer Research UK - Sponsored Cycle 2012
On the 4th August 2012 myself and Alan both set out to cycle from our hometown of Kidsgrove, to Rhyl (Wales) and back again, in hopes of raising £1000 for Cancer Research UK. Although we haven't quite hit our target yet, we're not far off at £921.50!
Along the way I recorded some footage of our journey and have edited it all together to make something we can watch back on in years to come. I've also uploaded the video to YouTube in hopes of raising more money for Cancer Research UK - it's not too late to donate yet.
Sorry about some of the language that's used throughout - I'm aware that it's supposed to be for a charity etc, however I wanted to keep the experience real. I only chopped out the bits that were too shaky or really not needed. Plus I managed to film a section where my parents almost killed me on the way back again - which was hilarious, but I did swear a bit.
It's all good though! We've both achieved a great deal, and Alans son Kieron who went with us on the way to Rhyl without training did extremely well and we're very proud of him.
On a side note, thank you to Brian Rourke Cycles who were absolutely awesome in lending us a Cannondale Road Bike, which without it I wouldn't have been able to participate in the event. So thank you! And of course, thank you to everybody who has donated and supported us.
And if you haven't already, you can still donate.
